anything that has acetaminophen (aka Tylenol). It shuts down your liver so you’re unable to process last night’s good time!

I take Tylenol and drink lots of water.

You should never mix medicines and alcohol! If there’s any alcohol in your system and you take medicines it can kill your liver (metaphorically). If it’s been over 12 hours or so, it’s probably all out of your system and you can take 1 or 2 tylenol (no more than 2, your liver’s been through enough already, it’s a sensitive organ). And do NOT take asprin. Stick to tylenol (aka Acetaminophen) or ibuprofen.

Try to find non-medicinal ways to take care of headaches (temple massage, meditation, warm bath, etc). It’s much healthier.

Next time you know you’re going to be drinking a lot, take a Chaser pill. It will help absorb some of the toxins in the alcohol and will lessen your hangover. I don’t drink at all, but many of my friends swear by it. Also drink lots of water before, after, and during your drinking time. That helps decrease hangovers by a lot. Another tip for next time would be to eat a big meal before drinking. Preferably high in breads and other carbs. That will absorb some of the alcohol too.

    Be careful!

Plain aspirin is the way to go if you regularly consume alcohol. If it’s just a one time event it won’t really matter what you take.

Not sure, but I do know that if you drink two glasses of water for every glass of booze, you wont get as dehydrated and your hangover wont be nearly as bad.

All of them shouldnt be taken with alcohol. it could either not work as well, or actually increase its effects. Never stopped me. Percaset and a couple of beers seems to do the trick with me… I have fractures in my back.

As someone else answered, acetametaphine. It is not good for the liver, and when you’re a bit hungover, you need all the liver action possible.
That being said, I take Excedrin Migraine. It does contain acetametaphine, but it also contains asprin and caffeine and really helps me out. I’ve also found that eating icee pops (those long skinny ones that are in plastic tubes) helps me soooo much. Speaking from experience unfortunately!

The headache is caused by dehydration. Alcohol dehydrates the body and that’s what causes hangover symptoms. Drink a lot of water. Other fluids are will also help as long as they are non-alcoholic and caffiene free.

    Ibuprofen irritates the stomach lining
Ive found that taking a couple of big 1-a-day multivits(loads of b-12),a few ginko biloba caps, and washing them down with Berroca works quite efficiently, and Ive had some horrible hangovers
It that doesnt work,a couple of DF118s,washed down with lots of water gets rid of most pain.Go back to bed though, youll be fit for nothing for a couple of hours
Milk thistle extract is good,as it aids liver function.I take them all the time now

indeed, any medication containing acetaminophen. i recently had a friend of my manager @ work die because he took a handful of pills containing that component. no joke – read the warning labels. they even advise you NOT to take it if you consume at least 2 drinks daily since it inhibits liver functions, where your liver is key in the metabolic breakdown of alcohol
