Retro Ice Bags Make a Big Comeback
Retro ice bags are ice packs that can be used with hot water or cold, chilled water. The designs and concept harken back to an earlier time when headaches, bruises, hangovers, menstrual cramps and other aches were mostly treated without medicine. It’s true that what’s old is new and retro ice packs have made a stunning comeback.
A lot of people are concerned with the side effects that certain pain relief medications might have on them, especially if used too often. Another indication of this are people that are turning to the tried and true good old fashioned ice bag. With the many new designs out there, even though you may not feel great, you can look great as you begin to soothe your pains with a cool retro ice bag or hot water ice pack.
I have a few different ice packs that I use depending on what the situation calls for. The martini ice pack is of course my choice for the occasional hangover cure, while I use the rubber duckies heated bag for cramps. For headaches I tend to enjoy tranquil flower patterns. My children prefer the more kid-friendly designs like the Teddy Bear ice pack for their bruises.
When buying an ice bag, make sure that it has a lining and that it closes securely.
